We are delighted to share that due to the demand for Community rehabilitation across Dundee we have a fixed term post for a Band 6 Physiotherapist. This post will work within the adult Community rehabilitation services in the community Independent Living Services.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain community rehabilitation experience and to develop community rehabilitation skills. This is an ideal opportunity for therapists who wish to broaden their clinical experience, with the chance to assist in supporting change and development within the wider team. You will be fully supported by senior staff, with supervision, appraisal and regular CPD opportunities.
We are looking for a forward thinking individual who can provide Physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation, and contribute to discharge planning and onward referral. You will work with the interdisciplinary team in partnership with all agencies, providing therapy interventions and support to adults. This may include a range of conditions such as orthopaedic and neurological conditions, vascular, amputations, rheumatology conditions, and Falls.
In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health
Professions will be moving towards 7 day working. This is for improved patient outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care. Therefore all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7 days service / rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7 day service. N.B. Currently there is no weekend working at Community rehabilitation. Hours of work are: 37.5 per week (full time).
In these posts you can expect to be fully supported through our established system of personal development planning and training programmes. We have a strong commitment to MDT working, clinical governance, CPD and evidence based practice. We fully support
undergraduate OT and Physiotherapy training programmes and regularly accept students on practice placements from Scottish and International Universities.
