Job Advert
An opportunity has arisen for two Clinical Fellows in General Surgery and Endoscopy to join our team for a period of 12 months from August 2021 with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidates will be fully supported by an evolving enthusiastic and friendly colorectal and general surgical team. GJNH has recently been appointed as the National Endoscopy Training Centre and the appointees will be part of the endoscopy team responsible for supporting this exciting venture. In addition, the appointees will receive dedicated training in endoscopy (2 sessions per week) and be expected to achieve JAG accreditation upon completion of their post.
The remainder of their elective time will be spent on research in an area of their choice. The post holders will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with the established general surgery research unit in the Royal Alexandra Hospital (Paisley). This unit has an international reputation for performing patient centred research that directly changes patient outcomes.
For on-call, the post holders can participate in the hospital at night 1 in 12 on call rota covering cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgical patients.
To arrange an informal visit or for any informal enquiries, please contact Professor Susan Moug, Department of General and Colorectal Surgery, on 0141 951 5658 (Secretary) or Elaine Stewart, Service Manager National Elective Services, on 0141 951 5379.
