BUILDING BETTER ROSTERS
Resource on-boarding team
(All posts offered on a secondment for 18 months, location flexible.)
The Service commissioned an independent Demand and Capacity Review in 2017 which sought to determine the overall capacity and workforce requirements to respond to current and future projected demand in unscheduled care. The Service has now officially launched its Demand and Capacity Programme across Scotland with a clear focus on improving staff wellbeing and patient care as demand across the country continues to grow.
The additional investment identified by this review is unprecedented for the Service and presents a significant resourcing challenge to on-board around 300 new A&E staff across Scotland.
One of the programme's main aims, in addition to providing the very best care for patients, is to improve working arrangements for staff which includes supporting rest break compliance, helping people have a better work-life balance, and reducing the frequency of shift overruns.
There is a requirement to establish a dedicated internal resourcing team to support the on-boarding of the new resources and this team will provide an end to end recruitment process for all the operating regions. The Resourcing Administrators will be allocated to each of the 3 operating Regions within SAS.
If you require any further information about any of these roles, please speak to Graeme Ferguson, Head of HR & ER, on 07920 271722 in the first instance.
