Job Advert

In support of our core purpose of Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran we are committed to a culture that is Caring, Safe and Respectful.  You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.

This is a great opportunity to join an excellent team and lead our Capital Planning Service across NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

The Head of Capital Planning is a pivitol role to drive the delivery of NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s Capital Investment Plan.

This is an exciting and transformational time for NHS Ayrshire and Arran as it seeks to redefine how it delivers Health and Wellbeing services to the citizens of Ayrshire.  Its ambitious “Caring for Ayrshire Programme” has aspirations to invest over £750m in improving its physical and digital infrastructure over a 10 year period, with developments planned in acute, primary and community areas of its estate.  It is intended that its new estate will be “right-sized”, “right-placed” and “fit for purpose”, integrating the latest building and digital technologies to support a patient focussed, high quality, safe health and wellbeing service that’s financially sustainable

It is intended that projects are targetted to maximise opportunities to align with investments by local authorities and partners to deliver wider community and public realm benefits.  There is a valuable opportunity to implement change as the NHS exits from the pandemic and deliver improved services that are more flexible, effective, efficient and patient centred.

This is a challenging role, requiring a critical and proactive approach and robust technical and contractual knowledge gained through extensive experience in delivery of major capital projects.  The role will be a key advocate of the recently launched pan Ayrshire Community Wealth Building programme intended to support wealth building across Ayrshire, providing economic and employment opportunities.
