SERVICE MANAGER
BAND 8A
37.5 hours per week, Fixed term contract for 12 months - Secondment Opportunity
Salary Scale : Band 8A : £49,975 - £53,948
Who are we looking for?.......a Service Manager to join our team who is absolutely committed to our values of enhancing patient care through engaging leadership and management. You will be working in collaboration with colleagues, partners, patients and the public. You enjoy variety and complexity.
What will I be doing?.......you will have operational, strategic and quality responsibilities for allocated teams and will also be involved in future development and sustainability of our services. You will be working closely with clinical colleagues in ongoing review and redesign of services which meet the needs of patients in an efficient and cost-effective way. You will be responsible for service resources, clearly demonstrating a sound understanding of clinical, financial, risk and staff governance requirements.
Who are we? ......the Directorate for Clinical Support & Diagnostics sits within NHS Highland Acute Services Division and comprises a wide range of services. These include Radiology, Medical Physics, Radiation Protection, Medical Equipment, Clinical Technology, Wheelchair & Specialist seating services, Laboratory Services, Medical Records, Administrative, Booking & Reception services, Medical Illustration and some Allied Health Professional & Pharmacy Services. Many of which, although based in Raigmore Hospital, we serve all of NHS Highland and we have service level agreements with Island and neighbouring Boards.

Previous experience of operational management is desired along with evidence of excellent personal organisational and communication skills. A commitment to continuously improving the services we provide to patients is essential.
