Fixed term or secondment opportunity for 9 months from June 2021 to February 2022

(£32,118 - £39,560) - Band 6 AfC

Full time (37.5 hours/week) with the opportunity of flexible/part-time hours (minimum of 15 hours/week)

Edinburgh/Glasgow - with remote work for the foreseeable future

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide analytical support for work that Healthcare Improvement Scotland carries out to drive improvement in care.

Based in our Data, Measurement & Business Intelligence Team, you will be responsible for analysing and managing data from local and national sources. This will involve working with colleagues from within Healthcare Improvement Scotland, including the Quality Assurance Directorate and ihub (Improvement Directorate), as well as partner organisations, such as Public Health Scotland (PHS).

The successful candidate should have an understanding of data and how it can be used to inform quality assurance and improvement work. They should be able to work on their own initiative, manage and prioritise a busy work schedule and demonstrate the ability to capture, analyse, interpret and present complex data in a way which enables ease of use and understanding by a range of audiences. They should have advanced Microsoft Excel experience and a working knowledge of statistics. It is essential that you also have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
