Salary Range £20,907 - £22,820 per annum (pro rata)

The Public Health Team provides public health services to NHS Shetland and the population of Shetland. The role of the team is to promote, improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the people of Shetland, to prevent ill-health and to reduce inequalities in health. 


The post holder will perform viral swabbing for COVID-19 as part of the COVID-19 testing team, including swabbing at testing sites and as part of mass testing. They will undertake other tasks as directed to support the local test and protect response. The post holder must be able to work without direct supervision, adhering to strict procedures at all times. They must hold or be working towards SVQ level 3 in care or equivalent.


Bank working is used to cover shifts/part shifts where, for example, we have vacant posts or unexpected absence. Bank posts do not involve regular hours but you may be offered casual work when available.
