Alcohol and Drug Development Assistant (Ref: 52436)

Part Time - 25 hours per week

Band 4 - Salary Range £22,927 - £25,223 per annum (pro rata)

Distant Island Allowance of £1,895 per annum pro rata


We are looking for an individual who can support the development and implementation of local alcohol and drug strategies, provide advice and support on raising awareness and reducing stigma around alcohol and drug issues, stimulate action to promote health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities, provide training, provide administrative support to the Shetland Alcohol and Drug Partnership and a personal assistant service to the Alcohol and Drug Development Officer.


We are looking for candidates who have experience of multi-agency working and supporting senior management.  Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint and have experience in maintaining and updating websites and social media platforms.  Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to work is essential, alongside a good knowledge of national alcohol and drug strategies. Educated to SVQ 3, SVQF 7, HNC (or equivalent relevant experience) and must be confident in taking/transcribing minutes.
