ELMBANK GROUP PRACTICE
Practice Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to become part of our friendly multi-disciplinary team at Elmbank Group Practice in Aberdeen. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist our clinical team in caring for our 11,500 patients. We are a training practice with 7 GP Partners, an ANP, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and a supportive admin team.
You will be part of a Nursing team within the Practice, and your duties will includes running Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, CKD, Hypertension and CHD clinics. You will be required to provide assistance in Minor Surgery and any other ad-hoc nursing duties that the practice may require.
We provide a full support service to our patients and the Practice Nurses are fundamental in providing a comprehensive service to our patients with chronic conditions and in the management of minor injuries.
You must have a first level registration with NMC with demonstrable post registration experience as a Primary Nurse and have clear evidence of continuous professional development. Spirometry and ABPI skills are an advantage but not essential as training will be given. Previous experience in General Practice is essential. You must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as having excellent communication skills.
We are looking for a team member to join us at least 2 days per week, but can be flexible on days and hours for the right candidate. We have a learning culture at Elmbank and will support relevant structured learning and development.
