CLINICAL PHARMACIST – BAND 7
Fixed Term Contract/Secondment for 12 months - Salary Scale £39693 - £46,467
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Belford Hospital for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join the clinical pharmacy team. This is an exciting role, with an opportunity to deliver excellent pharmaceutical care to a patient group in a Generalist Rural General Hospital setting. You will work with the pharmacy team providing patient focused pharmaceutical care to the wards, with the opportunity to develop specialist clinical knowledge in many areas, as well as develop ways of working incorporating developments e.g. HEPMA. The Pharmacy Department and Hospital as a whole are friendly and supportive environments to work in.
You will be involved in the provision of education and training to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals, including acting as a trainer for student pharmacists' clinical training. Opportunities will be available to work on quality improvement projects e.g. SPSP. Training and education is a priority of the Pharmacy Department and we encourage and support pharmacists to undertake further pst-graduate education e.g. clinical diploma, MSc or independent prescribing qualifications.
You will be a registered pharmacist with a Masters Degree in Pharmacy and relevant post-registration experience. You should have completed the Pharmacist Vocational Training Programme or have equivalent clinical experience. A post graduate clinical pharmacy or independent prescribing qualification is desirable (achieved or working towards). You should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
