£32,118 - £39,560 per annum

You will be employed by NHS Tayside and will be a member of the R&D Non-commercial  team at TASC responsible for working with researchers, Sponsors, funders, support departments etc. to facilitate, review and process studies from registration, management approval through to study closure. The post involves review of local capacity and capability and recommendation of research for NHS Tayside Management approval and sign off. The postholder will assess, calculate, agree and attribute NHS costs to relevant budgets and negotiate with support departments to ensure research capacity, support and delivery in the required timeframes. The role also involves contract review and negotiation.


You will have the ability to prioritise and achieve tight deadlines under pressure, and you will be an enthusiastic team player. You must have a degree in a scientific or business discipline and previous equivalent experience. Familiarity with clinical or scientific research is essential, gained either through experience as a researcher, or in research administration. Your previous experience may be within the NHS, University, Research council or a commercial research organisation.


The post is initially for 12 months but it is hoped to extend this on an annual basis dependent upon core funding from the Chief Scientist Office which is reviewed annually.
