We are now looking to recruit an Employee Relations Manager who role will be to successfully deliver our ER and Workforce Strategy by providing direction, support and training regarding the provision of a quality service to the organisation.
Managing a small team of ER Advisors, you will have the autonomy to add value and drive forward positive change in creating a proactive and continuously improving employee relations service and culture.
You will provide leadership to the function and work with Human Resources professionals in managing cases with legal implications and risks by ensuring professional and technical competent employee relations advice.
As an expert source of advice we are seeking to appoint a candidate whose credentials demonstrate strong legal, governance, political, policy and case management expertise coupled with a high level of critical thought and analytical skills. You will be able to write policy, guidance and quickly grasp complex legal and policy issues assessing the risks to the Board and developing responsive solutions to address employee relations issues. You will be able to work with colleagues to review cases and be skilled at providing feedback on areas of learning and improvement.
Working closely with the senior Human Resources team you will be an influential player leading and improving employee relations standards across the Board. The role will also focus on contributing to the development and delivering of policies which support NHS Scotland Staff Governance Standards
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant area, with Chartered Membership of CIPD you will have significant Human Resources case management experience in a health or social care organisation or within another public or private sector customer facing organisation. The successful candidate will be able to evidence knowledge of employment legislation as well as highly developed organisational and influencing skills.
