An exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of Scottish Government investment in maternity and neonatal services nationally. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic clinical/counselling psychologist to a brand new 1.0 wte band 7 clinical/counselling psychology post within NHS Forth Valley. The postholder will work with a senior clinical/counselling psychologist to introduce and develop psychology input to maternity and neonatal services. They will provide direct therapeutic input for patients and their families, working alongside enthusiastic multidisciplinary colleagues. Consultancy and training will be core aspects of the role. Professionally, the post holder will be a member of and will contribute to NHS Forth Valley’s friendly and dynamic clinical health psychology specialty which has seen significant expansion over recent years. In turn, the clinical health psychology specialty works cohesively with other specialties within wider Psychological Services. As such there are ample opportunities for networking with psychology colleagues including service wide reflective practice groups and CPD events.
