The post holder will manage day to day and ongoing operational issues for the Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit and Assessment Unit in relation to day to day administration, support of electronic systems management, coordinate equipment management to ensure safe delivery of care within the service and management of secretarial staff within Emergency services.  You will be responsible for the line management and leadership of a comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative services within Emergency Department, Minor Injury Service and Assessment Unit, ensuring equitable distribution of workload across all clinical areas by planning and controlling all types of leave and staff absence. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years management experience and have knowledge and understanding of Divisional policies/procedures.  You should have knowledge of hospital electronic systems and software support care delivery and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomical and physiological terms.  The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
