FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR 23 MONTHS
SALARY SCALE: £32,118 - £39,560 PER ANNUM PRO RATA
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the TASC Research Nurse Service. Research nursing as a career option allows you to utilise your nursing knowledge, skills and experience to contribute to the development of new evidence, improving patient care and to the development of new treatment regimens and pathways; with the overall aim of improving outcomes for our patients, now and in the future.
The post-holder will be responsible for the management and delivery of a portfolio of studies in a variety of therapeutic areas, but may focus on a core therapeutic area, and include clinical trials of investigational medicinal products.
Applicants must be educated to degree level or working towards or have the equivalent experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills and ability to perform at the level required for the post. Post registration experience in clinical research nursing is desirable and experience in an acute clinical environment is essential as you will manage a caseload of study participants, providing them with the highest standards of care in adherence to clinical trials regulations, research governance and ICH Good Clinical Practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, also the post holder will demonstrate proven ability to be an effective team member as the post involves providing advice, support and guidance to other members of the multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with the Investigators, CRC Managers and Clinical Research Teams to ensure the implementation of all aspects of the studies, including research governance, maintaining ethical and regulatory approval, maintaining trial documentation and reporting on study activity. The role will involve developing innovative strategies to ensure recruitment on time and to target for studies.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register
