As an Advanced Scrub Practitioner you will work within the Main Theatres department at University Hospital Ayr. You must be an NMS Registered General Nurse with extensive scrub experience and have an interest in Elective Orthopaedics, in particular that of joint arthroplasty.
You will have already completed a nationally recognised Advanced Scrub Practitioner course (Part 1 & 2) or be willing to studying towards completing this course. Only on successful completion of Part 1 of course will Band 6 be awarded in this instance.
You should have evidence of significant post-registration professional practice experience within the theatre environment to undertake and fulfil the key roles required for the post. Excellent communication, strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments involved in the delivery of peri-operative care is essential to the post
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 4 x 10hr shift pattern.
