We have a vacancy for a Band 6 Research Radiographer.
This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the highly skilled Clinical Research Imaging Facility team (CRIF) where cutting edge research imaging modalities, including 7T MRI, plus academic and technical expertise enables CRIF to lead and facilitate research and development activity as part of NHSGGC R&I. We support outcomes of researchers, clinicians and academics for both commercial clinical drug trials and academic studies.
The role is primarily cardiovascular/ neuro focused but could include any other areas of research scanning - areas of interest will depend on which research projects are supported within the facility at the time i.e. renal, MSK, oncology, hepatology.
MRI and CT scanning of research subjects and support of research scanning projects will be central to this role however there will be significant non-scanning responsibilities. The post holder will act as part of the core team within the imaging research facility taking on responsibilities with other facility activities e.g. NHS support work. Image trial data management and image analysis are also potential areas of study support work for this role.
We actively support post graduate and CPD courses.
Essential experience: HCPC registered. BSc/ DCR Diagnostic Imaging. You must have a high level of MR experience. Some flexibility is required due to the nature of research projects there may be a need to occasionally work flexible patterns. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with the multi-disciplinary research team. Ability to accept responsibility, use initiative and make decisions.
The shift pattern is; 9-5 – must be flexible if we move to extended days
