MEDICINE DIRECTORATE
PERTH ROYAL INFIRMARY
WARD 3 SENIOR CHARGE NURSE
(12 month Secondment)
Salary Range Band 7 - £39,693 - £46,467
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ward 3, Perth Royal Infirmary for a senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and leadership skills in a Senior Charge Nurse position. Ward 3 is a 23 bedded general medicine ward with a focus on management of acute respiratory patients.
The candidate should have a commitment to acute medicine, patient centered care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will have 24 hour responsibility for the ward, providing clinical leadership, managing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving forward models of care.
The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. The post holder must have 3+ years post registration experience at charge nurse level within an acute clinical setting and be able demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge, with management and leadership experience. They must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute and chronic medical illnesses.
This post is full time, 37.5 hour per week predominantly worked Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working to cover the site senior leadership requirements.
