An exciting opportunity has arisen for an occupational therapist to join our mental health Occupational therapy team. Our team sits within the Mental Health, psychology, Intellectual Disability and Specialist Drug and Alcohol Directorate. This post will allow us to continue to provide mental health occupational therapy assessment and interventions to the community mental health services and allow additional cover as required to other services within our directorate.. This will enable us to continue to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals who experience a range of complex mental health difficulties. 

You will have excellent communication skills and networking skills and the ability to think creatively. You will have knowledge in occupational therapy assessments and interventions, and be able to provide specialist written and verbal reports. You will have an ability to work safely and efficiently both as an autonomous practitioner and part of the wider multi-disciplinary teams. You will have necessary skills to contribute to professional discussion and development of Occupational therapy services.

This will post will focus on ensuring access to high quality, specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions as well as safe, timely and efficient discharge from hospital and community settings. You will have the opportunity to support and develop designated quality and service improvement projects. You will contribute to student education and service development supervision.
