National Services Division plans, funds and co-ordinates national specialist and screening services on behalf of NHS Boards and the SGHSCD. The National Network Management Service is responsible and accountable, for the effective management of all non cancer managed clinical networks and managed diagnostic networks that are designated through SGHSCD national commissioning processes. Networks are an integral part of a systematic approach to service redesign and improvement, designed to deliver Scottish Government policy aims of improved clinical and other outcomes for patients, families and carers through effective integration. Fundamental to their success is the use of clinical and other information to drive improvement. The Information Management Service (IMS) identifies and delivers information management requirements to enable the delivery of individual network and project requirements.
The National Network Management Service seeks a Data Analyst to provide data analysis and audit support activities for a portfolio of networks as well as administrative and project support services to the Information Management Service (IMS).
The postholder is part of a team delivering a high quality Information Management Service (IMS) to around 30 national managed clinical and diagnostic networks across Scotland within the National Network Management Service. The postholder is responsible to the Information Management Service Programme Manager for providing a comprehensive range of data, analytical and user support to a portfolio of clinical and diagnostic networks and associated projects.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience ideally gained working in relevant role within NHS environment. Knowledge of analytical reporting tool Business Objects (BOXI) and Tableau visualisation software is desirable as is in-depth working knowledge of standard office packages e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
The post will be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, with frequent travel throughout Scotland. A pool/hire car is available for business use and a clean, current driving license is desirable.
