Consultant Radiologist

FULL TIME (10 PA. it is anticipated that the candidate will negotiate up to 2 PA SPA as starting point) / Part-time

NHS Lanarkshire is an exciting innovative health board to work for, serving a population of 600,000+ with 3 acute hospitals.

NHS Lanarkshire seeks to appoint a new Consultant Radiologist to complete our complement of 47 WTE. This post is full time (10 programmed activities). Most consultants work these flexibly over 4 week days – but those wishing to work less than full time are very welcome to apply. Home working is also encouraged.

The Radiology Department is a friendly unit with the existing Consultants based in one of three hospitals, all have subspecialty interests.  General Radiologists with a Subspecialty Interest would be welcome. Ideally this would complement others in the department but all interests will be considered.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the Radiology department and meet key staff. Informal enquiries should be directed to Clinical Lead Radiologist Dr Karen Gray (Karen.Gray3@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk), or  Service Manager Elaine Connelly (Elaine.Connelly@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk)

Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practise. Applicants will be expected to have a wide range of experience in Radiology and possess membership of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent. Applicants must be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or have a certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) at date of interview. Applicants are required to have evidence of recent continued academic and professional development. Excellent, communication, listening and organisational skills are essential.

NHS Lanarkshire are happy to consider requests for this publication to be in another accessible format ie large print, braille, etc.  Please contact us via either of the undernoted methods clearly stating which format is required:
