Working across pan-Ayrshire Drug and Alcohol Services as a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology, you will provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other evidence based psychological interventions to adults who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression and other mental health difficulties, within the broader context of substance use. You will be part of a small, but friendly, Psychology team and will be encouraged to play a part in shaping the post across the service. There are opportunities for teaching, training and supervision of other health and social care professionals.
Psychological Services places a strong emphasis on governance and CPD and has excellent opportunities for training and access to special interest/professional Groups. The service has close links with the University of Glasgow, Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Course and the University of Stirling/Dundee, MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care Course.
You will have attained a MSc in Psychological Therapy in Primary Care and be accreditable, or accredited, with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.
A car driver is essential for this role.
Hours: 37.5 per week.
This is a 12 month fixed-term position.
