An exciting opportunity has become availble for a Band 5 Dietitian to join the Acute team at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. Although contracted for 37.5 hours.
The Nutrition & Dietetic Department is a Fife wide service providing Dietetic care to one Acute hospital, Community hospitals and Primary Care. The department is currently arranged into clinical teams for: Acute, Adult Weight Management & Diabetes, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities, Nutritional Support, Older People and Infant Nutrition & Paediatrics. The teams are supported by Dietetic Assistants and an Admin Team.
The Nutrition & Clinical Dietetic department takes both undergraduate and graduate Dietetic students for B & C programmes each year; involving all Dietetic staff in the delivery and organisation of the programmes. The department runs regular department training sessions and supports staff in their continuing professional development. The department has good clerical support, IT, internet and library facilities.
Registered with HCPC, you will have the skills, competencies and experience appropriate for the post.
Job Purpose:
To provide a day to day clinical Dietetic service to in patients, out patients and day patients within Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. The Acute service works in 3 teams for medical, surgical and renal. You will be required to be flexible and provide cover across NHS Fife if required.
Working Areas/Caseload:
Caseload will be varied across a range of clinical areas in patients, out patients across mostly medical and surgical. Types of patients will vary depending on the current demands of the service.
