This role will involve working as part of Catering team to deliver of a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of Patients, Staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services. This will also involve working alongside and supporting new staff in the working environment.
Shift Pattern for this post, will be as follows - Saturday & Sunday 1600 - 2000
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures.
Required to undertake on the job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks
Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment
Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards
Undertake and complete NHSS Catering Services Workbook.
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
Required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
Working knowledge of basic information technology
