Highly Specialist Physiotherapist
Band 7 – 1 Full Time Post
(Part time hours will be considered)
Fixed Term: 23 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking HCPC registered Physiotherapist to work in the Pelvic & Obstetric Physiotherapy Team based within Kings Cross Health & Community Care Centre and Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The team provides a service that cover both Dundee and Angus. This is a fixed term post for 23 months.
You should have demonstrable highly specialist clinical skills & knowledge from postgraduate courses/in service, as evidenced in your Continued Professional Development portfolio with comprehensive knowledge of best practice / clinical guidelines / standards across this specialty. You will have evidence of completing POGP accredited courses, or be willing to work towards completion of same.
You will have a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge, have responsibility for the supervision, education and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers and students within the speciality, provide a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers and have an active involvement in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.
The Physiotherapy Departments are friendly, dynamic and sociable with strong links to Universities providing student placements primarily from Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The Physiotherapy service in Tayside are dedicated to deliver the best service possible through expanding skills and knowledge, streamlining service and providing the best in patient care.
