As a Clinical Operations Manager you will be based at University Hospital Crosshouse. You will be a motivated Registered Nurse on Part 1 or 12 of the NMC Register with considerable relevant acute experience.
This post has a rotational day/night shift pattern. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work flexibly, negotiate and co-operate with multiple teams within the challenges of acute health and other settings.
You will be able to:
• Manage the day to day aspects of in-patient flow & safety
• Actively involved in the co-ordination and development of a strategic and operational framework for bed management which has implications for the service.
• Establish and maintain excellent communications with all staff within UHC and the wider area for repatriation from UHH and GGC.
• Provide a service that ensures effective, efficient and responsive patient flow from the Emergency Departments to the Combined Assessment Unit and other Receiving Wards, and on to appropriate specialties.
• To effectively deal with area closures ensuring that impact on patient services is not compromised.
• Adhere to the Acute Services bed management policies.
