As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership.  We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities (PCF) provide specific services and expert advice across its portfolio of activity.  Services include: Specialist Services; Commissioning; Screening; National Contracting; Logistics, Procurement systems, and professional advice and expertise about Infection Prevention Control, Property, Facilities, Construction and Equipment in the health build environment.

This role is within the Business Development Directorate and the team provides a range of services across Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities to support the delivery of key services across NHS Scotland. This includes a Business support team, Technical services team, Commercial and Performance team, Strategic and Governance function and the Development Services team

This role is based in the Development Services team and you will play a key role in exploiting data collected by PCF and to enhance the data analysis, interpretation and presentation skills in the Division, supporting the development of relevant datasets to appropriately reflect the information needs of current NHS Scotland initiatives.   You must be able to focus on numerical data and have good attention to detail.

You must carry out accurate manipulation, compilation and timely presentation of information and reports for a range of customers including NHSScotland, Scottish Government (SG) and other partner organisations. You should have a sound knowledge and ability of analytical and statistical techniques and analytical tools (e.g. Business Objects) within specialist area(s).
You should hold a HND in a technical qualification or professional accreditation in a business or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
