This is a challenging opportunity to help harness the buying power of more than £1.5 billion spent each year on across the NHS in Scotland. National Procurement, the Procurement Centre of Expertise for Health, works in collaboration with Health Boards to ensure the highest level of patient care through the provision of a wide range of goods and services via a series of best value National Contracts and Distribution Services.
The National Distribution and Eurocentral facilities operate over 3 shift patterns, to include Day/Back Shift rotation, and a constant Nightshift, the successful applicant will work a rotating Day Shift (06.00-14.00) and (10.00-18.00).
Eurocentral facility operates within a 122,000 Sq Ft warehouse, in all aspects of Good’s In, Pick and Dispatch the successful candidate will have experience of working within a similar FMCG warehouse or logistics role, with demonstrable team management, Inbound and stock allocation planning, ideally gained within an FMCG warehouse.
Your role as Supplier Manager will be to work with Operations/Supply Chain and Inventory teams in conjunction with suppliers to ensure inbound stock meets the required specifications for pallet height/qty, and to suggest adjustments where necessary ensuring warehouse capacities are not compromised. Working closely with the operational and Inventory teams in addressing any issues with suppliers / supply chain, developing processes and relevant work instructions.
This role will also have supervisory responsibility for the control Tower team of assistant planners managing the inbound schedule from suppliers, positioning of stock to the relevant picking sites and the planning of outbound stock to Health boards, Primary and Social Care dealing with any pre / post transactional queries generated from this activity.
An ability to develop and learn new skills, follow instructions and procedures while working both as part of a team and on own initiative within a fast moving environment are essential.

Day Shift Rotation (0600-1400/1000-1800) – 37.5 hours per week.
