An opportunity has arisen for a Network Specialist to join the eHealth Department of NHS Highland. The post holder will join the Network and Telecoms team with a dedication to the Connected Health Care (CHC) Project, in partnership with the European Space Agency.
The successful candidate will able to assess whether satellite connectivity and existing terrestrial connectivity at the participating GP practices can be configured. They will support with the implementation of network solutions in parallel with existing terrestrial connectivity at participating sites.
The post holder will provide ongoing technical support to GP practices throughout project duration and require a good working knowledge and understanding of NHS Highland IT and network practices in order to hit the ground running.
The post holder will be expected to work with the Scottish Partners (NHSH RDI, UHI and University of Aberdeen) and the satellite provider Goonhilly Earth Station based in Cornwall, and will need to be able to be a part of project meetings and to provide technical reports to the Project Lead in Scotland.
