A opportunity has arisen for a Tobacco Cessation / Prevention Officer within the Quit Your Way stop smoking team. The postholder is expected to co-ordinate and deliver targeted smoking prevention and cessation within a range of settings across Ayrshire linked to health promoting frameworks. This will include the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project work as well as delivering training to a wide range of partners/public. The postholder will also be responsible for setting up referral pathways in to the service and planning local campaigns and marketing of the Quit Your Way service. You should be educated to degree level or have sufficient equivalent experience and demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience of the tobacco agenda/health improvement.

There are two posts being recruited to: one will be based at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse, and one at Afton House, Ailsa Hospital, Ayr. 

The postholder requires their own car and a full driving licence.

2 x 37.50 hours per week - Fixed Term until 31/03/2022
