Senior Pharmacy Technician (Vaccine Programme) (Ref: 56441)

Fixed term until 31/03/2022

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Band 5 - Salary Range £26,104 - £32,915 per annum plus

Distant Island Allowance of £1,895 per annum


An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly pharmacy team, as a senior pharmacy technician.   This post will be rotational but with added responsibility of the co-ordination of the vaccine programmes, working closely with public health, school nurses, health centres and mass vaccination site leads.  Other duties will include medicines management in wards, dispensary and distribution.


Applicants must be registered with the GPhC and have the Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technician or willing to work towards it.  Previous experience in working with vaccines/ medicines management would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.


This contract is fixed-term until 31st March 2022 to allow for ongoing workforce planning and review of establishment.  If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.
