An opportunity has arisen within the Queen Margaret Community Hospital for band 5 registered nurses with a genuine interest in caring for older adults and providing them with a positive experience during their inpatient stay.
 
Queen Margaret Hospital has three older patient wards.   This Band 5 post is a permanent position to the Queen Margaret Hospital older adult wards all providing rehabilitation.  Wards 5  and 6  which are 22 bedded wards caring for older adults who require further rehabilitation and complex discharge planning following an acute illness.  Ward 7 is a 20 bedded rehabilitation ward with 15 dedicated stroke beds and 5 general rehabilitation beds.

We can offer a good working environment within a large multidisciplinary team who are keen to support the educational and training needs of our staff. The wards have a culture of continuous quality improvement and are undertaking many initiatives to improve patient safety and support patients with cognitive impairment.
