NHS Lothian Clinical Health Psychology Service is delighted to be offering a 0.5wte permanent Band 8a applied psychology post in our HIV/Sexual Health service, based at the Chalmers Sexual Health Service in Edinburgh.  This is an exciting service which has developed and expanded over time and has an important role in the delivery of a wide range of HIV and sexual health services, including regular opportunities for team consultation, training and supervision/reflective practice.  This post is well established and is closely integrated within a psychological minded and focussed multi-disciplinary team.

Clinical Health Psychology is a Lothian-wide service, supporting patients to adjust to acute and chronic physical health conditions. We have approximately 25 psychologists working across 15 specialist services, in inpatient, outpatient, community and rehabilitation settings. We offer interventions in a range of intensities and modalities, including group and individual therapy, as well as consultancy, supervision and training.  There will be frequent opportunities to access support from the wider team, including therapy specific (ACT, CFT) peer group supervision.

This post presents an excellent opportunity to develop and extend core competencies in a HIV/Sexual Health setting, supported by an experienced and enthusiastic team. This post is a job share and there would therefore be  regular opportunities for case discussion, support and service planning/development.
