NHS Tayside has a number of immediate opportunities to work as part of a remote team of call handlers, responsible for making direct contact with identified contacts of providing people who have tested positive for COVID-19. Duties will include undertaking telephone calls and accurate data entry and management on to the Case Management System (CMS).
Applicants are required to demonstrate flexibility, tact and persistence, clear verbal communication skills, and able to write detailed notes. An ability to take responsibility for decisions and an understanding of when decisions need to be escalated to Senior Contact Tracers and Clinical Team members is also required. Applicants must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and electronic information systems to support the public health management of cases.
Your performance must comply with the national “Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009” and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week from 09.00-17.00, 12.00 – 20.00, worked over 7 days.
Fixed Term/ Secondment until 31 March 2022
Applicants must be able to work from home with no or minimal disruption to work, and are required to be available for interview via Microsoft Teams on Friday 25th June.
