Salary Scale £40,872 - £47,846 per annum
NHS Highland is looking to recruit an experienced Physician Associate to join their team within the General Surgery Department at Raigmore Hospital.
All applicants must be educated to post-graduate level in Physician Associate studies and registered on the current UK PA MVR. Prior work as part of a ‘middle grade’ rota is desirable however all applicants will be considered that can demonstrate sufficient post qualifying experience. Shift patterns may include out of hours, nights and weekends.
Raigmore Hospital is a busy District General Hospital, with a General Surgery Department which includes 3 Vascular Surgeons, 3 Breast Surgeons, 5 Urologists, 5 Colorectal Surgeons and 6 Upper GI Surgeons., together with 8 Registrars and 2 Specialty doctors, 10 FY1s and a Physician Associate (this would be an additional post, making it 2 PAs in the department). The service has a mix of emergency and elective patients, and Raigmore provides a full range of benign and malignant surgery.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership. If the post holder is not a current PVG member with NHS Highland for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
