The post holders will provide a supportive role to the clinical caseload of the Community Rehabilitation team, as well as undertaking administrative duties.
Previous experience within a care setting is essential and successful candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Teamwork is an essential component of this post. IT skills are desirable but training is available as there will be some responsibility for patient administration within Community Rehabilitation Team.
The AHP Support Workers will provide physiotherapy/ occupational therapy under supervision as per instruction - to patients in their own home environment, including Care Homes, centres.
All staff are supported to deliver the best service possible through expanding skills and knowledge, streamlining service and providing the best in patient care.
In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions will be moving towards 7 day working. This is for improved patient outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care. Therefore all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7 days service / rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7 day service. N.B. Currently there is no weekend working at Community rehabilitation.
