A brand new post has been developed by Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP). The ADP is seeking to recruit a Lead Officer for Drug Deaths Prevention. This post has been developed in response to the recommendations published by the National Drug Deaths Task Force. The post-holder will provide a dedicated resource for Renfrewshire and will lead in the development, co-ordination, delivery and monitoring of the ADP Drug Deaths Action Plan. The post-holder will deliver responses and innovations to prevent drug deaths and this will be achieved by working collaboratively with key partners as part of the ADP Drug Deaths Action Group. An important aspect of the post will be to lead in the investigation of drug related deaths in Renfrewshire and to identity trends, risk factors and areas of focus for prevention.
The post-holder must be passionate and highly motivated who will have a key role in delivering the ADP strategic framework. The post-holder must be educated to degree level with at least four years’ experience working in this field along with at least two years working at a strategic level. Specialist knowledge and understanding of national policies pertaining to drugs is essential along with an in-depth understanding of evidence based practice utilising evaluation and research. Excellent IT and communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive information in a clear concise manner, both written and verbally, are also essential
The shift pattern is; Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
