Job Advert

An opportunity has arisen to recruit  a suitably experienced physiotherapist  to join the Physiotherapy team based at Nithbank which is planning a move to Mountainhall Treatment  Centre in 2021.

The Physiotherapy Department at Nithbank is  friendly, dynamic and sociable with strong links to Universities providing student placements for students from all Scottish universities.

This post offers an opportunity to be part of a team that provides rehabilitation within people’s homes, out-patient setting and care homes. You may also be asked to work in Cottage hospitals.

Full support is given from the Team Leader and other staff members.

You must be a good team worker but also be able to work independently without direct supervision. It is also important you can demonstrate effective working relationships across the multidisciplinary team and partner agencies.  CPD is encouraged  as appropriate  to support your learning growth and development.

Can you confidently self-coordinate a complex caseload? Can you demonstrate effective working relationships across Locality Teams inclusive of GPs, Nursing, Social Work, Social Care, AHPs, Third and Independent sector organisations?   Are you aware of Home Team early adopters and how you will be contributing towards working differently in the future to achieve transformational improvements for the health and well-being outcomes for the people of Dumfries and Galloway?  It is a very exciting time with transformational change as we move forward with the development of the pathways within rehabilitation and reablement.
If you can answer positively to these questions and this post fits with your career development plans we would be excited to hear from you.

Please note - A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged. Due to the ever changing health and social care climate, this post holder may be required in the future to work flexibly within the context of working regular weekends, to provide a 6 or 7 day per week service.  There is also a requirement to regularly travel to different workplaces.  This will be discussed further at interview.
