This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team providing needs-led comprehensive medicine for older people services in the North Sector.
This is a full time post.
The postholder will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to ensure the objectives and quality standards of NHS Scotland’s National Quality Strategy and National Nursing and Midwifery Quality Assurance Framework are achieved. You will have the ability to inspire, motivate and empower your nursing team and the wider health care teams when participating in clinical sessions to quality assure care delivery at the bedside and continually strive to improve the patient experience (positive patient experience, effective nursing care, enhance patient safety).
In partnership with the Chief Nurse, General Manager, Clinical Service Manager, finance, human resources and medical colleagues, you will deliver sector department plans which drive financial efficiency and quality initiatives across the sector simultaneously ensuring person centred care is at the forefront of all decision making.
To be considered for this post you must be Registered General Nurse with a minimum of 5 years experience at Band 7 nursing level. A Masters Degree or working towards a masters Degree is desirable, however a first level Degree is essential. A recognised Clinical Leadership/ Management qualification and / or equivalent experience is also essential.
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to exert influence and develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff. You will be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative with effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills and hold a current Driving Licence as travel across sites will be required. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday
