We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team to lead the organisational rollout of the Allocate electronic job planning tool for our career grade medical staff, and associated l management colleagues, a cohort of approximately 480 individuals.

The broad responsibilities of the Project Manager will be:

developing the project plan for organisational implementation;
populating the system with necessary base data for system set-up;
providing requisite training and user guides for end users;
provision of  first line support to end users;
managing system access and acting as system administrator as the system is implemented; and
organisational contact for liaising with the system supplier.
Delivery of the project will be overseen by a Steering Group that the Project Manager will directly support and report to.

The success of this project is dependent upon meaningful engagement with a range of stakeholders, both clinical and non-clinical, and it is important that you are able to effectively engage and build relationships with a wide range of staff across the organisation who have varying levels of skills and aptitude in using IT solutions.

 You should be educated to postgraduate level, or equivalent experience, and have relevant experience in project management or associated qualification.  Familiarity with the Allocate eJob planning system is essential as is a knowledge of medical staff organisational structures and the broad principles of job planning and interface with service planning.

The post is 6 months (fixed term / secondment)
