Job Advert

fixed term / secondment for 12 months

The post holder does not have to be based in Inverness – an Inverness presence would be required on occasion – depending upon activity.

NHS Highland is looking for an individual to lead a review of the Treatments & Medicines (TAM) app.  This essential resource aims to provide clinicians and patients with the most up to date information on treatments and medicines to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate care when accessing our services.

This post will sit within the Programme Management Office (PMO). The PMO has the responsibility for both leading and governing major programmes of work across the organisation with the aim of ensuring clinically sustainable and financially viable services. The Project Manager will be aligned to the Prescribing workstream within the PMO.

The core principles of the department are delivery, problem solving and assurance of implementing complex change. We are looking for candidates that have strong practice within all these disciplines along with operational or transformation change.

You will be an ambitious driven individual with change/project management and/or clinical governance experience seeking to improve the quality and efficiency of services in conjunction with operational teams. The post holder will be able to demonstrate a methodical and structured approach and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels in the organisation.

You will see this as a way to demonstrate your passion for delivery, commitment and energy to see things through, coupled with your ability to apply the best and most innovative thinking to your role.

This is a great opportunity to be at the heart of an evolving organisation that has already made significant steps on its improvement journey. Make no mistake; these are exciting times at NHS Highland, as we look to build upon the strong foundations of recovery following the recent Sturrock report and Scottish Government approved plan to return to financial balance.
