Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) and Care Home Education Facilitator  (CHEF) NHS Grampian (Band 6)

3.0 WTE Practice Education Facilitator - Full time and Part time hours will be considered

Due to additional funding from the Scottish Government, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of 3.0 WTE Band 6 Practice Education Facilitators within the NHS Grampian Practice Education team (covering Aberdeen city HSCP, Aberdeenshire HSCP, Mental Health and Learning Disability and Care Homes) to support the recovery and development of new and existing practice learning experiences due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The post holder may initially be required to blend working from home (in line with the guidance from the Scottish Government) with working from an office base when required. The location of the office base will be confirmed with the line manager on appointment. Regular travel will be required as part of the role.

We are seeking motivated, innovative registered nurses or midwives to be part of a team, led by a Lead Practice Educator, who together will be responsible for supporting placement recovery, creating and sustaining new practice learning environments and supporting pre registration training and education. They will also have the ability to work across NHS Grampian and engage with the nursing and midwifery workforce at all levels to implement change and support ongoing development of students, New Graduate Nurses and nursing & midwifery workforce. 

Applicants should be a Nurse or Midwife with current NMC registration and;

• Have extensive experience at Band 5 or above, in posts which included supporting, supervising and assessing learners and should be a current Practice Supervisor/Assessor.

• Able to demonstrate an ability to motivate and influence change, using highly developed interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
