An exciting 1.0 wte, permanent post is available to join a small friendly team based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, consisting of four clinical psychologists; one clinical neuropsychologist, two health psychologists and a clinical associate applied psychologist.
Our Department offers a combination of general paediatric psychology services to hospital patients and staff, and specific provision to individual medical teams (namely, neurology; diabetes; gastroenterology; major trauma). The aims of our service are to maximise health outcomes by addressing barriers to self-care; alleviation of emotional distress among children, young people and their families, and to support hospital staff in their efforts to provide the best possible care.
The post involves providing a specialist assessment and therapy service to children (and their families); liaising and consulting with healthcare and education services; provision of training and supervision, and conducting research and audit.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in this area and will provide appropriate training and supervision.
The successful candidate will be based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
