Health Improvement Senior (Mental Health Training)

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Mental Health Improvement Team are looking for a new Health Improvement Senior – Band 6 to join their Board Wide team. This role will have a dedicated focus on the training area of mental health, self-harm and suicide prevention including overseeing a commissioned service under the leadership of the Health Improvement and Inequalities Manager and Health Improvement Lead. The post-holder will be required to contribute an expert focus on this area, in order to influence change across multiple structures including voluntary, third sector and wider partners.  They will be expected to build effective working links with HSCP colleagues across the partnership area of NHSGGC having a bearing on health improvement in the mental health sphere, including Scottish Government 10 year Mental Health Strategy, NHSGGC 5 Year Mental Health Strategy, general health improvement policy, inequalities and social inclusion policy, and allied social policy such as child and youth policy. The role will include a combination of planning, design, delivery and evaluation of training programmes, in conjunction with commissioned and wider capacity.

The applicant should be educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification; or significant experience working in health improvement or public health with additional training/experience in Health Improvement Public Health field.  It would be desirable to have a Post Graduate qualification in Health Improvement/Promotion/ Public Health or related area.  UKPHR Registered Practitioner or working towards being registration ready.
