Location: MTU Headquarters, Paisley Airport Business Park

Fixed Term until end March 2022 

An opportunity has arisen for an MTU National Operations Cell Manager based within the National Operations Cell (NOC) at MTU HQ, based within the SEC Glasgow responsible for overseeing the planning and control function of all MTU deployments across Scotland. 

This managerial post plays a critical role in the achievement of the MTU goals of delivering testing to all of Scotland.  The post holders will assume a role within the management structure for MTU. The manager will be expected to work across a shift pattern that covers Monday – Sunday and includes evening, weekend and public holiday working. 

You should possess the drive and enthusiasm to deliver results within tight timeframes and have an understanding of the key issues and challenges facing the Ambulance Service.  It is essential that you possess excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organisational and analytical skills along with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.  You should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to build, motivate, mentor and lead teams.

Previous experience working as a first line manager, involvement in managing change, working with internal / external partners and implementing local delivery plans would be an advantage.  The achievement of or working towards a management qualification would also be advantageous.

You must be committed to improving quality and standards of care, have an openness to new organisational structures, procedures and technology and support cultural change.  You must also be IT literate and possess a driving licence.
