The Substance Misuse Service (CADS) require a Band 4 Substance Misuse Worker to join the multidisciplinary team.
Applications are invited form people who can demonstrate a strong interest in substance use and who have experience of working with adults with moderate to severe substance use including effective networking and experience of multi-agency working, and experience of delivering psycho-social models of recovery. You will be expected to work autonomously and respond to the needs of the locality but also as part of an established team.
The team provides assessment and interventions to adults aged 16 years old, with moderate to severe complex substance use issues and mental health problems, and their families. The post holder would also be involved in providing assessment, interventions and developing working relationships with a wide range of professions to improve service delivery.
The successful candidate must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidates must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, innovative and responsible for ensuring their ongoing professional development as well as being committed to active involvement in implementing service developments.
Prior experience of assessment, management and review of adults substance use and with mental health difficulties is an advantage.
Supervision is provided within the team and there are ongoing continuous professional development opportunities.
The post holder will be expected to work across the Substance Misuse Service (CADS). Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
