We are very open to discussion regarding different models for delivering care, so if you are interested in working as part of a rotational rota or want to develop a portfolio career incorporating other roles elsewhere, please get in touch.   The practice is currently salaried but if you would like to discuss taking on the practice as an independent practice, we would be happy to consider that as well.

We are looking for highly motivated GPs with a passion for clinical care, a strong team-working track record, excellent inter-personnel skills, ability to contribute to the community and perhaps an interest in multi-disciplinary teaching or research.   The post involves daytime GMS work plus out of hours provision to a population of 1100 on Yell (the Yell practice includes providing cover to the small island of Fetlar).  The posts have study leave allocation to allow you to acquire and maintain the skills needed.  We also welcome GPs with Special Interests, particularly in women’s health.

Systems to support you include EMIS and DOCMAN.  The team in the health centre delivering health care services is friendly, welcoming and very supportive, and there is a car provided for the use of the GP.  The practice provides their own Out of Hours cover.  For more information on the Yell practice, please see below for links to the practice website: http://www.yellhealthcentre.co.uk/
