Allied Health Professions Practice Education Lead (A4C Band 7)
Base – Base to be agreed across Greater Glasgow & Clyde/ Golden Jubilee (current remote from home working in line with Government Guidance)
Permanent post - 0.6Wte (22.5 hours per week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a lead role in supporting the educational needs of the AHP workforce within the workplace across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Golden Jubilee, Clydebank.
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual with a flexible and proactive approach to practice education to join our Practice Education Team.
The purpose of this role is to support and facilitate the development of the workplace as a sustainable quality learning environment for all Allied Health Professional staff (Registered AHPs, pre-registration students, support workers and staff “returning to practice”) working across all care settings within the Health Board area. In addition the post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of national practice education programmes of work.
We want to hear from you if:
- You are passionate about the role of practice education supporting career development and CPD for allied health professionals and support staff
- You can demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and inter personal skills
- You have relevant experience supporting education and development
- You are a qualified AHP and registered with the HCPC
- You have a Masters qualification or can demonstrate the equivalent e.g a critical understanding of the theories and principles in education, application of critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis, autonomy and initiative.
- You have excellent project management skills
- You are able to demonstrate ability to effectively build networks across multi-disciplinary professions
- Although initially the post holder would be working remotely, due to the nature of the work an ability/ willingness to travel throughout the area is also required.
