An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cancer Services for a full time Senior Charge Nurse to lead the team in Ward 4. Ward 4 is an oncology ward with 22 inpatient beds and provides care of patients at all stages of their cancer journey.

Edinburgh Cancer Centre is the regional cancer centre for South East Scotland and provides inpatient care for patients from  Lothian, Fife, Borders & Dumfries and Galloway.

The successful applicant will have experience within an oncology or equivalent setting. Leadership and managerial skills are essential.  Ability to deliver systemic anti cancer therapy(SACT) is desirable but not essential however successful applicant would be expected to undergo training in this. Experience in dealing with patients who have undergone laryngectomy and are neck breathers is desirable

The ward is due to be decanted in 2020 to support upgrade works  within Edinburgh Cancer Centre therefore change management and service redesign experience will be advantageous.
