CAMHS - Health Care Support Worker –Specialist Children’s Services - Band 3.

Base – Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital, Alexandria

37.5 hours per week. Fixed term – 2 years


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly and busy community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team based at the Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital. We are looking for a candidate, who is motivated, flexible who can work alone and within the multidisciplinary team.

You will support the multi-disciplinary team in conducting physical observations in clinics (including venepuncture), school observations, home visits and co-facilitating low intensity psychological group work, following adequate training and development.

 It is essential that you have Working knowledge of mental health nursing care and mental health issues and experience of using digital technology and information systems. You must also have skills and behaviours that demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, the ability to form good working relationships and to follow instructions as well as work on your own initiative.

Its desirable that you are educated to or actively working towards SVQ3/ SCQF level 6 and have completed a health / mental health or social care programme or equivalent. Its also desirable that you have previous experience of working in the community with children and young people

As this post is community based a driving license and access to a car are essential.   This post is subject to enhanced Disclosure Scotland check.
